Quintessentially British

A country kitchen for a traditional farmhouse

The brief

Our aim was to create a traditional-looking kitchen that fit with the style of this beautiful converted farmhouse. It not only needed to look lovely but also be practical for family life, so we guided the client away from a range cooker and toward an option that provided more cooking space. A double-barrelled sink and Quartz worktops completed the space.

The Kitchen

As they have a large family, we knew that two ovens, a hood and a hob would be more than enough cooking appliances to suit their needs. The room had beautiful high ceilings so we used these to full advantage by installing bi-folding wall units which are both practical and attractive. The island is the social hub of the room so we used wood for the worktop to add a touch of warmth.
